Ultrasound at CMDHB

The Ultrasound service at CMDHB sits within the Radiology Department and is located across two sites, Middlemore Hospital (MMH) a busy 800 bedded acute hospital and the Manukau HealthPark (MHP), offering elective outpatient clinics and surgery.

The Radiology Department provides all modalities except PET CT and Nuclear Medicine, and the Ultrasound service provides a wide range of examinations; general abdominal work, O&G, musculo-skeletal, paediatric, neonatal and vascular. These examinations are performed in nine rooms containing Philips iU22's and Toshiba Aplio's.

Our team brings a wealth of collective experience from around the world, providing a supportive mentoring and training environment, making us one of the most successful teaching hospitals in New Zealand. Collegiality amongst the staff inside and external to the Ultrasound service is a key to our success.
