If you don’t have health-related experience right now, don’t worry, there are a number of ways which you could shift to a career in health.
We are always looking for people with great communications skills, a good understanding of our diverse community and excellent language skills. You might be a great organiser, a great communicator, someone who has a natural flair for figures, or you might be someone with a lot of community experience - these are all skills we value highly. Remember, as an employer, we’ll help you along the way by giving you support for personal and professional development.
It’s okay if you don’t have all the qualifications you need straight away. Some tertiary education providers offer foundation courses to bridge into health training programmes, some roles offer on-the-job training, some require tertiary study and other jobs may be a natural next step from what you’re already doing.
Scholarships are also available for financial help with paying study fees.
On this website, you’ll meet people who have shifted into a job in health. You will also find the information you need to make the change.
